Grant Hewitt
Grant is a South African waterman with a deep love for nature. Originally from Zimbabwe, he relocated to South Africa’s East Coast and at a young age developed a strong connection to the outdoors and particularly the sea. Grant graduated with a degree in Geography and Photojournalism from Rhodes University. He then went on to complete his Honours Degree in Environmental Water Management. Grant now works full-time in the Expedition Industry, combining his knowledge with his love for nature. Grant has been lucky enough to work in many regions throughout the world including Madagascar, Seychelles, Antarctica, South Georgia, and various areas in the North Atlantic. Grant is also a PADI-certified free diver, sea kayak guide and National Sea Rescue Institute survival swimming coach. When he is not on expeditions, he is usually found in the ocean around South Africa chasing swells to surf.
